Function:

• Asylum Lock: Latch bolt operated by key from either side. Both handles always inoperative. Auxiliary dead latch. Caution: Double cylinder locks on residences and any door, in any structure, which is used for egress are a life safety hazard in times of emergency and their use is not recommended. Installation should be in accordance with existing codes only. (ANSI F30)
